Our Story
John Ensom, a Funeral Director with over 50 years’ experience today, founded the company, and through hard work and dedication, gained a reputation for trust and exceptional care. In 2025, we became Ensom & Biswas Funerals, continuing our tradition of heartfelt service, with the addition of Rav Biswas, a Funeral Director with a sincere and deep passion for guiding families through loss, and who also specialises in Repatriation Services.

From pre-planning to final farewells, we offer a suite of services including burials, cremations, memorials, repatriation and more, dedicated to dignified farewells. Operating from our cosy, boutique-style premises, our service is personalised and intimate.

Family-owned and operated, John and Julia purchased 15 East Street in 2007. As a team, we are deeply committed to providing a warm and welcoming space, paired with unwavering support, to guide you with care during your time of need.
